What You Will Do
We are looking for a high energy, highly motivated, and creative person to join the team as our Director,
West. Your primary responsibility will be to grow and manage the Chomps business with our West Region
customers including Walmart. You will collaborate with both internal and external partners to deliver
growth and deepen the customer relationships. You will be responsible for developing sales strategy,
managing a dynamic broker network and facilitating cross-functional collaboration internally. You will be a
game changer by owning the Region and delivering best in class executions and results for both Chomps
and our customers.

  • Relationship Management:
    • Manage and grow direct customer relationships
    • Prepare and deliver regular Business Reviews
    • Lead, train and build strong relationships with key brokers and retail execution partners
  • Strategy Planning
    • Build and execute the annual volume, trade and profitability plan at the customer and channel level, focused on accelerating growth across the portfolio and market share
    • Manage Channel strategy including price pack architecture, market impacts and customer dynamics
    • Work cross-functionally to provide visibility to promotions, trade spend, volume forecasting, customer profitability and new volume opportunities to ensure accuracy and dependability
    • On-going analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps to plan and execution
  • Leadership:
    • Category leadership, ability to utilize key syndicated, distributor and retailer specific data sources to drive actionable insights
    • Lead and own the Western Region for Chomps
    • Sales team leadership with both team development and business insights
    • Consistent growth mindset finding ways to improve your own skillset, the organizational skillset and customer development

Who You Are

  • Bachelors degree
  • 7-10 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Must be an analytical thinker and data-driven; strong data analysis skills and experience working with RetailLink, SPINS, Nielsen, and Numerator
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills! This person can start conversations with anyone and create a positive association with Chomps brand 
  • Very strong team player, ability to work with cross-functional teams to get results 
  • Experience in a start-up environment ideal, but not required 
  • Have worked with trade management and demand planning software 
  • Strong PC skills including online applications, MS Office and Google Docs
  • Passion for natural and organic products 
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings - approximately 30% of time
